Embedded Firmware Engineer

We are seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our IoT start-up team to design, develop, and test firmware for our IoT products and solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded systems and firmware development, experience in developing firmware for IoT applications, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The role requires the ability to develop and implement firmware solutions to meet product requirements, perform testing and validation of firmware components, and lead the development of new IoT products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test firmware for our IoT products and solutions.
  • Develop and implement firmware solutions to meet product requirements, including coding and testing of firmware components.
  • Perform testing and validation of firmware components, including designing and implementing test plans and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and debug firmware issues during the development and testing phase.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including hardware engineering, software engineering, and product management to develop new IoT products and solutions.
  • Lead the development of new IoT products and solutions, from concept to production, including defining product requirements, developing firmware, and testing and validation.
  • Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest IoT firmware technologies and trends.
  • Serve as the technical expert and mentor for other engineers and team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded firmware development, with a focus on IoT applications.
  • Strong knowledge of firmware design and development, including coding and testing of firmware components.
  • Experience with testing and validation of firmware components, including designing and implementing test plans and procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve firmware issues.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams including hardware engineering, software engineering, and product management.
  • Familiarity with IoT firmware technologies and trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead the development of new IoT products and solutions, from concept to production.
  • Experience with IoT platforms and tools such as Azure IoT, AWS IoT, or Google Cloud IoT.
